Monthly Favorites

September Favorites

Hey y’all. Fall is technically here but it’s supposed to get into the 80’s this week,  that’s Ohio for ya. Adjusting to classes has been more rough than I had thought it would be. Hopefully, it’ll get easier. Anyways, here are the things that have gotten me through this month.

Beauty

Tarte Cosmetics Matte Waterproof Bronzer 0.32 oz. in park ave princess- I’ve finally found a bronzer that actually blends easy, lasts all day and doesn’t make me look orange. Honestly,  if you’re pale and can’t seem to find a good bronzer, I’d highly recommend this. I apply this with a large stippling brush and blend it around my cheek bones, temples, tip of my nose, and under my jaw line. I really am impressed with the longevity of this product.

Milani Rose Powder Blush, Romantic Rose– I’ve always loved milani’s bake blushes, I have a few that I use frequently. Baked products usually have shimmer in them and don’t have a long wear time. So I finally picked this one up and I love everything about it. Its perfect for my skin tone and it really does last me all day.

ColourPop cosmetics super shock cheek in lunch money– really this is just a fancy word for highlighter, but man I’m love. ColourPop has a unique creme powder formula that takes some getting used to. I’ve found that the best way to apply this is with my finger tips and to gently tap the product onto my cheek bones. They actually have a surprising amount of shades to choose from and for just eight bucks, you can’t really go wrong.

Music

My fall playlist has been slowly growing but it’s on spotify. For some reason its been really hard to find good music, so don’t hesitate to leave me some recommendations.

To read

You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Lifeby Jen Sincero. Honestly this a self-help book but it’s not like any one I’ve read before. The author is actually funny and relateable. If you’ve been looking for an empowering book, I highly recommend this.

To watch

American Horror Story Roanoke– Is it too early to include this in my post? Honestly though, this is my favorite season ahs has done, I can’t wait to see how it progresses.

60 Days in– Y’ALL! My psych prof actually recommended this docu-series to me and its so freaking good. It’s about this jail in Indiana that needs to be reformed and cleaned up. Drugs and other contraband run rapid and the captain wants to get it back to a healthy standard. So they implement a program of seven individuals who voluntarily go into jail for 60 days to spy as an inmate for the captain. Docu-series are my favorite and I had been craving one since I finished making a murderer. So if you’re a fan of that, then you’ll more than likely love this.

Positive quotes!

“Don’t pollute your body by absorbing the negative energy around you.”

“Allow yourself multidimensionality, you are not one emotion, one trait, one story. you’re a million experiences and a million pieces”

“Sometimes a person has to go a very long distance out of his way to come back a short distance correctly.” -Edward Albee

“As other girls prayed for handsomeness in a lover, or for wealth, or for power, or for poetry, she had prayed fervently: let him be kind.” -Anaïs Nin, A spy in the house of love
